Launching a silicone pet product does not always require a new mold. For a first collection, an established design with your logo may be enough. As your range develops, custom colors or a new shape can help create a more distinctive product.
At WINWINPETS, the starting quantity depends on what you want to customize. This guide explains our three main options, the details to confirm before ordering and how to choose a practical starting point for your brand.

300 Pieces: Add Your Logo to an Existing Design

Using an existing mold allows you to start with a product whose shape and structure are already established. This can be a practical option for brands introducing a new product category without immediately investing in custom tooling.
Screen printing is our usual method for adding logos. Single-color logos are the most common choice, although two-color and multicolor printing can also be reviewed.
Printing setup fees depend on the number of colors. A single-color logo requires one screen; a two-color logo requires two screens, increasing the setup cost. We confirm the printing method and quotation after reviewing your artwork.
Logo placement also depends on the product. A flat area with enough space may be suitable for printing, while a heavily textured or narrow surface may limit the available position and size.
Raised or recessed logos require silicone mold work rather than simply changing the print artwork. If you prefer a molded logo, let us know before selecting your customization route.

500 Pieces: Match the Product to Your Brand Colors

Custom colors and logos are available from 500 pieces per style per color. This option suits brands that want their feeding products, mats and accessories to share a consistent visual identity.
Provide your preferred color codes when making an enquiry. For a two-tone product, specify a color reference for each component or area.

Use a Physical Color Reference

If you request an existing-color product sample, we can also include a small silicone color strip close to your requested shade for reference.
This helps you review the color on silicone rather than relying only on a screen image. Once the agreed strip is approved, it becomes the color reference for bulk production.
If the reference shade does not meet your requirements, discuss the adjustment before approving it. The selected color reference should be clearly confirmed before production begins.

1,000 Pieces: Develop a New Design and Mold

Custom mold development starts from 1,000 pieces per style per color, with mold fees quoted separately.
Depending on the product and manufacturing feasibility, development can cover the shape, surface textures, thickness, compartments, colors and structural details.
You can start with drawings, renderings or an explanation of your idea. An NDA can be signed before confidential design information is shared.

How the Development Process Works

  1. Share your concept: Tell us the product’s intended use, preferred dimensions and design requirements.
  1. Review feasibility: Our engineers and designers assess your drawings or renderings and identify production considerations.
  1. Confirm the tooling proposal: Agree on the project scope and mold quotation, then arrange the mold payment.
  1. Review the 3D design: We prepare 3D drawings so you can examine the product from different angles and confirm the design.
  1. Produce and trial the mold: After design confirmation, the mold is made and trialed.
  1. Review samples: Samples are produced for evaluation before the bulk production details are finalized.
A new mold requires additional development work. Its schedule is assessed according to the design and project requirements.

How “Per Style Per Color” Affects Your First Order

MOQ generally applies to each style and each color, rather than the total number of products in your order.
For example, under the standard custom-logo MOQ:
  • One design in one existing color: 300 pieces.
  • One design in two existing colors: 300 pieces per color, or 600 pieces in total.
  • Three different designs in one color each: 300 pieces per design, or 900 pieces in total.
If you are considering several colors of the same product or a larger order, we can review whether a different arrangement is possible. Please confirm this before planning your quantities around a mixed order.

Choose an Established Design for Your First Collection

For a first order, we recommend considering our original designs and established styles. This gives you a practical starting point while you learn which products fit your customers and sales channels.
Options to explore include:
  • Square and rectangular lick mats, with or without a scraper depending on the selected option.
  • Six-zone rectangular lick mats combining different feeding textures.
  • Fish-shaped refillable cat toys.
  • Wobble-style treat-dispensing toys.
  • Silicone cat litter mats.
  • Silicone pee pad holders.
Choose products around a clear customer need, such as feeding enrichment, litter-area cleanup or everyday floor protection. Starting with a focused selection can make color, packaging and inventory planning easier.
For pee pad holders, the absorbent pad is not included.

Plan Packaging Alongside the Product

Our default packaging is generally an OPP bag. If you need retail packaging, custom printed boxes start from 500 pieces.
Product and packaging MOQs are separate. For example, a 300-piece custom-logo order does not reduce the printed-box minimum to 300 boxes. Discuss how the remaining packaging will be handled before confirming the order.
Share your preferred packaging style, branding and any required product information so we can review suitable options and provide a quotation.

Tell Us Your Idea—Even If You Have Not Selected a Product

You do not need a finished specification to begin a conversation.
Tell us which product category interests you and whether you prefer an existing design or a new mold. Let us know if you need a logo, custom colors or branded packaging. If quantities are still undecided, share your initial plan so we can explain the relevant options.
For a more specific quotation, useful details include:
  • Selected product names, photos or catalogue references.
  • Quantity for each style and color.
  • Logo artwork and preferred placement.
  • Color codes or physical color references.
  • Packaging requirements.
  • Destination market and target delivery date.
